GIDDYDIGS

The due diligence period

Due diligence is your time, after going under contract, to check the home out and make sure you still want it on the same terms.

What usually happens:

GIDDY DIGS surfaces a due diligence checklist right inside your transaction so nothing important gets skipped, including the wire-fraud warning. Closing-money scams are real: always verify wire instructions by phone using a number you trust, never one pulled from an email.

Keep an eye on your due diligence deadline in the transaction view. Once it passes, your options to renegotiate or back out narrow. For advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed attorney.
